However, the contractor is performing the work in a highly arbitrary, negligent, and discriminatory manner, due to which the quality of construction is being severely compromised. It has been observed that the interlocking work is not being executed uniformly on the same road. At some places, proper interlocking work with suitable base preparation has been completed, whereas at several other places the contractor is installing interlocking blocks without preparing the proper GSB/Base layer and without following prescribed technical standards. Such poor-quality work is likely to get damaged within a short period of time, causing inconvenience to the public as well as misuse of government funds.
